MCP Memory for AM3703

Depending on which package you are using (CBP or CBC) you can go with either Micron or MicroSemi.

We are going to use CBP package. I visited the website http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Micron_PoP but I see only option (NAND + DRAM = 4GB + 2GB).

Will it work with AM3703CBP?????

Yes, that will work with the AM3703CBP.  Here are the current MCP Micron offerings for CBP:

NAND + LPDDR

I checked out the NAND+LPDDR = 4GB+4GB memory and can I use this memory for my system MT29C4G96MAZAPCJG-5 IT. http://www.micron.com/parts/mcp/nandmobile-ddr-sdram/mt29c4g96mazapcjg-5-it?pc={B218C54D-E3C9-4DAD-A501-B5227E79A739}.

I am trying to contact Micron people and have already requested for access to their documents but it had been more than 7 days now and I didnt hear from them.

I am using this type of memory for the first time, so can you advice me on following questions:

a) Do I need any special HW changes for this memory. Or should I put this PoP memory directly on my processor package.

b) Any specific SW changes are required for this memory?

I think I mentioned wrong link in my previoous post. Memory on that link is not PoP but it is VFBGA and that I guess I cannot use as PoP, correct me if I am wrong.

For PoP package and with 168 pins (For OMAP processor AM3703), I see only below option:

So which one I should use in my system?????

You are correct, you need to use the second on you listed which is the 168-ball PoP device.  Hardware wise you don't need to do anything excecpt have the PoP memory soldered to the AM37x.

For software you will need to make sure the driver is setup properly for the Micron device and you will also need to be sure you follow the guidelines for flashing the 4b ECC NAND that is on this device.
