OMAP-L132: OMAPL132 DDR_ZT pin resistor tolerance

Part Number: OMAP-L132

Tool/software:

Hello,.

I am using the OMAPL132EZWT2 and I was wondering about the DDR_ZP resistor tolerance. The previous engineer put a 0.5% resistor to ground, but the datasheet recommends 5%. Here is a list of what I have checked to try and get some history on this and make a choice that will not give us production headached:

- Researched the old chip (TNETV138). A drop in replacement was provided (OMAP) for one of our boards.
- Checked the erratas and datasheets of both the old and new chip

Everything points towards a 5% tolerance. It is also important to note that we use very short DDR lines and that we don't use therminations to cut costs. If we go with 1%, would you expect us to encounter any problems?

Regards,
Simon.
