We are using IEEE 1588 PTP to sync with the grand master, this is working fine when we are using it without a bridge. In AM5748 we have two Ethernet interfaces eth0 and eth1, we have bridged these interfaces to assign a common IP, so our device will be accessible by the common IP regardless of which interface is connected. With bridge enable sync to PTP grand master is not working.
When we enable the bridge, the PTP Announce and sync messages are seen on tcpdump, but the sync is not happening between grand master and AM5748.
We are suspecting that IGMP multicast packets are not going through when a bridge is enabled, and we are observing multiple times IGMP membership packets sent from AM5748.
The following attached file is tcpdump capture at AM5748, has PTP packets transaction for reference.
AM5748 IP -> 192.168.0.100
PTP Grand Master IP -> 192.168.0.90
