Fatal error: #error NO CHIP DEFINED

There is an error when i build the project.

in "C:/CCStudio_v3.3/C6000/csl/include/csl_chiphal.h", line 267: fatal error: #error NO CHIP DEFINED (use -dCHIP_XXXX where XXXX is chip number, i.e. 6201)".

Is there anyone knows anything about this question, thank you very much for answering my question.

i use DM6467, thanks.

  • First, welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages. Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others have asked on similar topics.

I notice that you have found someone who asked this same question a long time ago, and they never got an answer. We are always embarrassed when things like that happen.

But since your question is about DM6467, it will be best handled in the DM64x forum, which is where your follow-up question was placed.

If you search the DM64x forum for "#error NO CHIP DEFINED" you will find some places where this is addressed, at least a little. I recommend using the Advanced Search and place the phrase without quotes in the Exact Phrase box.

You will find some answers that give a little more detail than I can. But basically, there is no CSL support for the DSP in the DM6467. There may be limited support in other ways, too, but you will find everything from the TMS320DM6467 Product Folder, click on Software & Tools. You will find the DVSDK which has the available software tools for the Linux side running on the ARM926 and any available drivers or support for the DSP side. Mostly, we expect users to download codecs from TI's library or purchase them from our excellent Third Party Partners.

But more involved questions will need to be addressed in the DM64x forum. If you would like, I can request this thread to be moved there for you.

    Regards,
    RandyP

  • Thanks for your help, i'm trying to solve the problem.

Could you please move my post to DM64x, thanks.
