AM3352: Boot issue with NAND ECC

we cannot share the ROM source code for these devices, it is TI-internal information.

Can you share more details on this so we can review and make suggestions? For example...

• TI SDK version
• Hardware configuration / NAND Flash P/N
• Are there (previous) working scenarios? If so, what is different working vs. non-working?
• Any boot / error logs

Thanks for your reply. Our customer has modified the sysboot[9] to PD to enable AM335 ECC. The flash PN is Micron MT29F4G08ABAFAWP. Customer find if they set BCH8 in uboot to flash the NAND, the ROM cannot boot. While if they use BCH16, the ROM can boot normally. Could you please help check how the SoC determine the ECC mode? Thanks

Thanks for your reply. According to the description, this flash can use BCH16.

However, we find that this rule is different from TRM. Could you please help check if there was modification on ROM code? Our customer has some boards which were production very early. We want to make sure all the boards apply to BCH16.

Thanks for your reply. However, it seems that the TRM description is different from below reference. In the TRM, only when the manufacturer Code is 98h (plus other condition), then BCH16 will be applied. But below description doesn't mention that. Could you please help to check? Thanks
