Hello Team,

We are working with PROC159E2 version of EVM, and almost our application is working on HW.

Found an issue with RESET and there is a TI ticket related to this issue TMDSCNCD263P: OSPI reset OSPI0_RESET_OUTn on AM263Px Sitara Control Card - Processors forum - Processors - TI E2E support forums

we received a new EVM PROC159A version and tried to run working application on this HW.

Working application is not running and getting error at OSPI initialization.

Q) Could you please let us know what are the HW changes?

Q) Do we need to adapt any OSPI module configuration in our application?

Rev A has the following HW changes:

In Rev E2, an IO Expander output GPIO_OSPI_RSTn is used to reset the OSPI device
In Rev A, GPIO_OSPI_RSTn is removed from the IO expander. Ball J1 is assigned OSPI0_RESET_OUT0 and is used to reset the OSPI device
Because J1 is now OSPI reset, pin F1 is assigned as USER_LED1

Out of the box, the OSPI module on the TMDSCNCD263P should work without error.

Hi Brennan,

Rev A is TMDSCNCD263P-SIP correct?

Rev E2 is TMDSCNCD263P correct?

As external NOR & NAND flash devices removed from Rev A

E2 and A has different PORT configurations?

No - TMDSCNCD263P and TMDSCNCD263P-SIP are different EVMs.

TMDSCNCD263P-SIP features the flash-on-die package of the AM263P4 MCU. The MCU on TMDSCNCD263P does not have an on-die OSPI flash and requires an external flash.
