TDA4VEN-Q1: two independent LVDS outputs?

Part Number: TDA4VEN-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM62P, AM67

Tool/software:

Team,

Is it possible to drive two LVDS displays with independent content on TDA4VEN? Same question is valid for AM62P, TRM chapter is identical!

In the TRM I find contradictory info.

Chapter 12.9.1.1. suggests using DSS0 for OLDI0 and DSS1 for OLDI1

But in "DSS Environment" it looks like both OLDI channels are driven from DSS0 only, via Video Port 1.

Please help to clarify what's correct.

Thanks,
  Robert

  • Hi Robert,

Yes, I looked into a bit more and TDA4VEN/J722S/AM67 has 2xDSS which each have 2 video pipelines. 2 independent OLDI should be possible, but there is only one OLDI port on the EVM board. We would require an OLDI splitter to validate this feature along with single link panels.
