AM5708: How to set SYSBOOT

Looking at the AM571x IDK, a pull-up or pull-down resistor is connected to determine the SYSBOOT logic.

Would it be okay to use a combination of a dip switch and a pull-up resistor to determine the logic?

Connect a pull-up resistor to one side of the dip switch and connect the other to ground.

The dip switch is ON: low, OFF: high.

This is because it is necessary to change the BOOT source, and changing the resistor is not recommended.

Hello Yamada-san,

Yes, this is possible and Ok for proper SYSBOOT sensing, however note that SYSBOOT pins will not be reusable for other purposes (via pin mux modes) since with DIP switch = ON they will be shorted to GND. One way to tackle this is to use weak pullups + stronger pulldowns to GND instead of shorting direct to GND.
