can you please help me to understand if the MJPEG and the MPEG4 decoders are supported by the AM62P?

Are these decoders a software based solution or do they need a hardware module?

Hi Felix,

The HW accelerator on AM62P is able to encode/decode both H.264 and H.265/HEVC video formats.

MJPEG and other MPEG 4 decoders customer will have to rely upon SW based solution (FFMPEG/Libav codec plugins).

Hi Felix,

Unfortunately we don't have any reference documentation on these SW plugins. Since, they are open source and readily available, customer can reach out to FFMPEG for support on these.
