PROCESSOR-SDK-J784S4: CPSW-9G degrade to CPSW-2G

I want to degrade the CPSW 9G from CPSW 2G where ethernet firmware is running on mcu2_0. So I want to know the what and all configurations need to be modified to make it work.

Hi Naradham,

I am not sure what you are asking. Ethernet Firmware model is only applicable to CPSW9G (or CPSW5G).

CPSW2G is not a Switch-capable IP. It would be a Native Ethernet driver usage.

CPSW2G has a single external port for communicating with an external network and supports features like packet filtering and forwarding to the Internal Host Port, similar to CPSW9G, but with a limited ALE table size of 64 entries.

We don't have support for the ETHFW model for CPSW2G.

I am planning to modify ETHFW model for for CPSW2G.So if you have any sources/documents for this please share.
And after making ETHFW for CPSW2G do CPSW2G support for switch mode?

Do you mean switch mode is one where all clients can communicate to CPSW independently for data transfer? If so, yes you can use it in switch mode.

As I have mentioned above, no.of ALE entries supported in CPSW2G were 64, which limits the clients to register multiple filter options like MAC, VLAN combinations.
