AM6442: AM6442BSDGHAALV: GPMC_WAIT0/GPIO0_37/MUX Pin No: W19 connectivity.

Part Number: AM6442

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

We are using AM6442BSDGHAALV in one of our design and we wanted to know if the Pin No: W19, Pin Name: GPMC0_WAIT0/GPIO0_37/MUX should be left unconnected or connected to specific voltage?

Because in our design the GPMC interface is not used after booting.

Request you to provide your thoughts if the Pin No: W19 can be left floating?

Thank you.

  • Hello Amarnath G,

If GPMC interface is used during boot and/or afterwards (OS, etc), the recommendation is to provide a pullup (commonly used value 4.7kΩ or 10kΩ) close to the attached memory.

If GPMC is never used or WAIT0 signal is not provided by the attached memory,  it is still recommended to add a pullup, however it can be weaker / higher kiloohms.

If GPMC is never used,  it is possible to leave it floating only if the pin gets muxed to GPIO0_37 as input with pullup enabled earliest possible in SW (less recommended).

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Regards,

    Stan
