PROCESSOR-SDK-AM64X: Ethercat Slave functionality for AM64x-EVM , Design Support

Dear Team,

We have successfully evaluated Ethercat Slave functionality for AM64x-EVM and now want to move forward for design. Please help us with following queries.

Is there any off the shelf card by TI which supports exact same functionality of Ethercat Slave on AM64 series. We want to connect AM64x to TMS320F28p55x using 4-wire SPI line.
We have found that AM64x is BGA package but is there a possibility of AM64x on TQFP package or LQFP package.
Also please let us know the lowest cost part which can support all protocols like Ethercat, Profinet etc as supported on AM64x-EVM kit
We see that AM6411BKCGHAALV is available at approx. 800 rs while AM6442BSEFHAALV is available in 1760 rs. Can you please provide us information on what functionalities we will loose if we choose AM6411BKCGHAALV chip over AM6442BSEFHAALV.

LP-AM243 Evaluation board | TI.com (gigabit industrial ethernet capable)

LP-AM261 Evaluation board | TI.com (100M industrial ethernet capable, look for industrial ethernet HW package option) - 10mmx10mm NFPGA option is there.

AM6411 does not have PRU-ICSSG and EtherCAT SubDevice implementation is not supported.

For AM64x, Industrial Communications SDK is supported only on the following parts:

Thank you for your message.

We are currently evaluating the compatibility with the AM243 /AM261 evaluation board. During our initial checks, we have not come across any clear indication of support for multiple device connections or daisy-chain functionality to link multiple EtherCAT boards.

Could you please confirm whether the AM243 /AM261 board supports such a daisy-chain configuration for EtherCAT devices?

The dual-port architecture of these boards is specifically designed to accommodate the industrial protocols in various network topologies, with daisy-chain being one of the most common deployment scenarios for EtherCAT in customer environments.

Also, we have validations steps where daisy-chain is mandatory. So yes, AM243 /AM261 boards support daisy-chain configuration for EtherCAT devices.
