SK-AM62B-P1: How to use IGH stack with SK-AM62B-P1 Board?

i want to use IGH stack with SK-AM62B-P1, I have tisdk-debian-trixie-am62xx-evm-11.00.09.04.wic.xz installed now.

I tried using this linked method but it failed.

I want to cross-compile the kernel in Ubuntu and install it, is that okay, if you can please give me some help, I'm not very good at linux.

Can you describe at which step you saw a failure and what that failing output was?

Generally, for cross-compilation of the Kernel, please try following the steps starting in https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62X/latest/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components_Kernel_Users_Guide.html#preparing-to-build and follow the steps "Preparing to build" to the final step of "Installing the Kernel".

In terms of cross-compilation of the IgH stack, although I haven't tried it myself and only tried building directly on target, I suspect the steps from the beginning to the "Install new kernel" in the FAQ could potentially be done with cross-compilation. The subsequent steps might require some additional options (e.g. the ./configure step) to enable cross-compilation. For this reason, I recommend still building on target.

Thanks for your reply.I haven't finished installing IGH yet.I looked for a lot of installation tutorials online and all failed.could you please provide me with an installation document for building directly with SK-AM62B-P1, it will be a of great help to me.

You should not attempt to use IgH stack unless you are comfortable with Linux. It is an open source project requiring basic Linux knowledge including kernel. It is not a product directly supported by TI. I would suggest to look at commercial EtherCAT master solutions with commercial support. Such as Acontis and IBV mentioned at https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1424136/faq-how-to-setup-an-ethercat-network-using-ti-processors .
