Also the definition for the struct is not clear for me and I don't find the definition of the settings in the SoC documentation either.

You can refer to the bist_example_app present in the RTOS SDK within sdl/example/bist for details of the code and implementation.

I downloaded the example code and the code refer to the SOC documentation documentation.

So I am turning in cycles because in the code IT refer to the documentation where I am not able to find this information. 

Can you point out where in the documentation I can find this information?

Yes, you can refer to the SDL example code for the implementation of BIST for all the instances running from the MCU R5F.
