I am wondering how the SOC decides between root complex behaviour and end point behaviour.
First : TRM gives the following information :
therefore explaining that external bootstrap pin MAKES the distinction.
Second : later on the TRM only evocates software configuration (see § 12.2.3.3.1.1) based upon MODE_SEL value from CTRLMMR_PCIE1_CTRL register.
Third : bootmode pins descriptions that can be found in TRM §4.3 never evocates RC/EP selection capabilities
Can you explain how the selection is performed ? and which pin is involved (if any) ?
