Hi,

My customer wants to confirm the following items. Could you help to answer their questions below ?

- Does GPMC support Non-Multiplexed mode ?

Datasheet and TRM describes Non-mux is supported, but the pins A7 – A22 cannot be selected on the SysConfig.

- Is it possible to use a serial SRAM connected with OSPI ?

Hi,

I found some E2E threads. According to some answers on these threads, GPMC on AM62L doesn't support Non-Multiplexed mode. Is this correct ?

How about the OSPI ?

Can Serial SRAM be connected with OSPI ? and Can the user write and read it as a memory mapped device ?

Hi Hideaki-san,

There is no mention of non-multiplexed memory support in the datasheet.

Also, I never saw mention of OSPI SRAM in datasheet nor in forums except for one trial from a customer with unclear end result.

And yes, non-multiplexed address lines are not pinned out:

I beleive it is because non-muxed devices are being slowly phased out nowadays.

However I think I saw somewhere in the forum that non-muxed flashes could be used with external address-data latches. Let me search again.
