AM62A7: EVM SAMPLE APPLICATION NOT ABLE TO FLASH

HI,

1.We are using SOC-AM62A74.I have EVM also i dowloaded pdk .

mcu_plus_sdk_am62ax_10_01_00_33-windows-x64-installer.exe

2. I followed steps suggested in TI documentation mentioned below.

3.I compiled the hello world application (r5fss0-0_freertos). While trying to flash the prebuilt binary image using the following command,

  python uart_uniflash.py -p COM13 --cfg=sbl_prebuilt/am62ax-sk/default_sbl_ospi_nand_linux_hs_fs.cfg

Stage2 binaries which are mentioned in the pre-configured file (default_sbl_ospi_nand_linux_hs_fs.cfg) are not present in the SDK in the mentioned path.

Please find the attached screenshot with error log for reference.

please help me to reslove this.

Hi Ramesh,

It seems that you have not yet built the examples that are needed by this cfg file, you will first have to build the SDK, please refer to this: AM62Ax MCU+ SDK: Using SDK with Makefiles

Thanks for the update.Above suggestion is for Linux or windows.

i am using Ccs-20 and build also completed in windows.

C:\Users\rgurunat\workspace_ccstheia\hello_world_am62ax-sk_r5fss0-0_freertos_ti-arm-clang\Debug

how to flash above binary.please guide me for flashing.

while flashing faced issue already mentioned previous comments.

The document I shared earlier has instructions to build the SDK as well as the examples in both windows and linux, as you are using windows you can refer to this for making the SDK, please note that you will need to use gmake for windows: https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM62AX/10_01_00_33/exports/docs/api_guide_am62ax/MAKEFILE_BUILD_PAGE.html#autotoc_md163

It seems you are only building a single application using CCS, when using default_sbl_ospi_nand_linux_hs_fs.cfg, it looks for the following files at following paths:

You would need all this binaries if you are using the default file, you will also need to build all of them for the same reason, if there is any file that you don't need to flash then you can comment that line out from this file. You would also need to change the path here if you are flashing the image from a different path than the one specified in the cfg file, as you are using CCS to build the r5f application here, you will need to update the path in this file.

Hi,

I followed what you suggest .sample helloworld application build complete.

when i try build all with below command:

C:\ti\ccs1281\ccs\utils\bin\gmake.exe -s makefile.am62ax all

i got below issue.

in my environment path also i added: C:\ti\ti-cgt-c7000_5.0.0.LTS\bin

i am not able to clear this issue and 2 times reinstalled and tried but no luck.

can you please help me for build all .i want to generate stage 2 binaries for flashing and windows build also need to check.

Hi Ramesh,

You are using C7000-CGT compiler version 5.0.0, the version compatible with the current AM62Ax SDK is 4.1.0: https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM62AX/10_01_00_33/exports/docs/api_guide_am62ax/SDK_DOWNLOAD_PAGE.html#INSTALL_C7000_CGT

Please use version 4.1.0 of C7000-CGT compiler.

I see that you have installed version 4.1.1 and not 4.1.0, that's why you still see this issue.
This version is defined in imports.mak and the makefile looks for this particular version:

Hi,

I am able to build the application . i am trying to flash the binary using command --- python uart_uniflash.py -p COM40 --cfg=sbl_prebuilt/am62ax-sk/default_sbl_ospi_nand_linux_hs_fs.cfg

i am recive below response .why i got ithis error.

Hi Ramesh,

Are you using a TI EVM or a Custom board? Do you observe this issue each time you are trying to flash the program or is it random?

Hi Ramesh,

This is strange, because flashing the default binaries generally works. Please let me know if you have made any changes in the UART UNIFLASH 2 example. Apart from this please make sure that the boot mode pins are correctly configured for UART boot mode as shown here: AM62Ax MCU+ SDK: Flash an example application
