Hi,

I want to understand if I get a video from camera as raw12 @12bpp how this will be stored in the RAM .How I should consider for resource estimation for RAM and RAM BW. Will it be stored as 12bit without padding and read in ISP as so or it will padded as 16b and read 16b by ISP.

If padding is how it work? any config where we can enable it to make storing without padding between CSI write and ISP read?

Hi Karthik,

From CSIRX and VISS perspective, both the storage formats are supported. Application needs to decide and configure these modules accordingly.

Hi Brijesh, SO you mean it can be stores as 12bit/pixel without padding ?

Can you point out to me the register where I can need to configure this?

This is crucial for us to calculate the RAM resource

Hi,

Yes, 12bit data can be stored in packed format and you would need to configure CSIRX driver for it..

Just set outFmt.ccsFormat to FVID2_CCSF_BITS12_PACKED16

Thanks but I could not find the register in "J721S2/TDA4VE/TDA4AL/TDA4VL/AM68 Processors" doc ?

Can you also confirm what register it is for AM62Ax Sitara ?

There is no specific register. Please use driver interface to store output in 12bit packed format.
