What is the real role for the bit named "highspeed" in the Low Power Mangement Register of C6678 HyperLink?

We can not see any performance differences whether we set OFF or ON the "highspeed" bit.
  • Takeshi,

The "highspeed" bit is used to support speeds above 12.5 Gbaud. Since 12.5 Gbaud is the maximum rate supported, setting this bit has no effect.

The user guide has been updated updated to address the confusion caused by this bit. This update will be reflected in the next release of the user guide. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
