Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM62P
Tool/software:
when AM62P works as EtherCAT master with AM62P EVM board,
is there any performance report data available? like frame processing time, throughtput, etc
Thanks

Hi Semon,
To my knowledge, there is currently no AM62P specific EtherCAT master performance data on any EtherCAT master we have worked with in the past (IBV, Codesys, Acontis, IgH).
Cyclictest could still serve as a microbenchmark for indicating EtherCAT cycle time performance, but there is no one formula/direct mapping to convert from cyclictest performance to EtherCAT cycle time performance. https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62PX/latest/exports/docs/devices/AM62PX/linux/RT_Linux_Performance_Guide.html
like frame processing time, throughtput, etc
Are these metrics what you are seeing customers are specifically targeting? My understanding is that cycle time is the key metric and things like throughput aren't as important in the context of EtherCAT since the amount of traffic usually isn't high.
