TDA4VM: How to apply different ISP parameters to different cameras(4 IMX390_dicovery cameras) in multi_cam

Dear TI experts

Currently, we are doing ISP tunning for IMX390_discovery camera. But eventually we plan to use 4 cameras in our demo. And each channel of camera should be applied diffenrent parameters.
So what should we do to about this.

1. Is this process possible?

2. Is there a way to tune 4 cameras simultaneously and generate one or multiple xml files.

3. If we had all of those ISP parameters files, should we need to change source code to apply.

Hi Xingyu,

Well, as such it is possible, but before that, are they all same type of camera? then why do you want to apply different camera settings for each of them?

For example, even in the same light condition, we want our cameras to apply different Gamma Lut curves. This is the main reason. And different H3A algo also.

So this is how I do it:

I find out that I can apply different Gamma Lut by searching by analog gain. So I add some new Lut in the xml file, and search them by channel id. It does work, but is this way proper? Is there a smarter way?

Well, i think you could have multiple gamma lut in the DCC file and could select based on analog gain.

Yes, for now we are doing in this way. But eventually we want to implement 4 different settings to each camera.
So we want to know if there is an official method, and is my method proper.
Can you help me about this

Hi Zhou,

One possible way is, you could create an object array of DCC binaries and provides it to the replicated VISS node.. Since it is replicated, each VISS instance will then use its own DCC binary.

This is as such possible, but not validated. I had an FAQ for similar approach but for LDC, can you please refer to it?
