I  want to develope a module  of the audio  process equipment,it must use a Mcbsp interface ,I have evaluate the TMS320VC5501,I want to ask  if it is  too old ?If  it would go out of production soon, it would popularity how many years?   Who can  propose the c5000 IC about 200MIPS, within the McBSP, and the price  blow 5 dollar ?

    There are couple of generations of products with McBSP after VC5501 and couple more coming out early next year. We can help to decide on a best fit for your application.

    What is your time line to build a prototype? When do you need samples? What is your interface to the processor?
