AM6442: Have to validate the EtherCAT slave functionality of AM6442

Dear TI Support Team,

We are working with the AM6442 processor and would like to test EtherCAT slave functionality on the R5F core running FreeRTOS.

Our goal is to:

  • Configure the AM6442 as an EtherCAT slave device

  • TwinCAT installation steps & TwinCAT compatible version with am6442, we are planning to install on a linux PC as the EtherCAT master.

  • Use the TI ESC (EtherCAT Slave Controller) firmware stack

  • Test basic PDO/SDO communication using a standard ESI file

Kindly provide guidance or any available documentation or SDK patches (e.g. examples, .xml ESI files, test configurations) for:

  • Configuring the PRU-ICSSG on AM6442 for EtherCAT

  • Using the TI EtherCAT Slave stack on R5F with FreeRTOS

  • Setting up and using TwinCAT or EC-Engineer as a master for testing

  • Any scripts or tools available for stack verification and integration

We are using the Processor SDK RT Linux v11.00.09.04 as our baseline.
