Tool/software:
Dear TI Support Team,
We are currently working with the AM6442 processor on a TMDSAM6442 EVM. We have successfully verified boot functionality using XSPI, and the system boots and runs our application without any issues.
However, we are encountering a problem when attempting to boot using OSPI. The key observations are:
- OSPI flash has been connected as per the AM6442 hardware guidelines.
- Boot mode pins are correctly set to enable OSPI boot.
- The boot image has been written to the OSPI flash using the appropriate flash writer tools.
- The image offset aligns with the bootloader requirements.
- OSPI clock and power domains have been configured correctly.
- No UART output is observed during OSPI boot, suggesting the ROM code might not be initiating the boot sequence.
We would like to understand:
- Are there any known limitations or errata related to OSPI boot on the AM6442?
- Are there any additional device configurations, eFuses, or settings needed to enable OSPI boot?
- Can you provide a working reference or example setup that demonstrates successful OSPI boot for AM6442?
Please let us know if any logs, schematics, or additional technical details are required from our end to assist in debugging this issue.
Looking forward to your support.
Best regards,
