AM67: Main domain R5F user programmable?

Hello,

Is the R5F core in the MAIN SOC domain on AM67 user programmable? Or is this intended only to be used as the runtime management core? My understanding is that the WKUP_R5F can be used after device initiation, but is that also true for the runtime management core?

Hi everyone,

It seems that I found the answer to my own question here, essentially none of the R5F cores are intended to be actually used here, so you are paying for cores but they can't do anything for the customer.

Why we don't support MCU+ SDK on this processor is beyond me...

Hi Munan,

The R5F cores are still available on AM67. You can develop software for the R5F cores, however, we do not have any examples or support for this as we do for MCU+ SDK for J722S. A large portion of the software development using MCU+ SDK will also be applicable to AM67 with some workarounds.
