TMS320VC5502: Can you recommend a replacement for the TMS320VC5502?

Hi All,

The TMS320VC5502 DSP was used to convert sound to AD and implement a low-pass filter and a band-pass filter.
Since this product is old, we are considering a new product. Do you have any ideas?
If possible, a low current consumption is good because it is battery driven.

    Hi Ito-san,

    The whole C55x family does not support new designs anymore. For low power consumption SoCs, maybe you can consider the MSP43x family. For DSP, you may want to look into OMAP-L13x family

    If you do not need support from TI, you can consider using the C5505/C5515/C5535/C5517 to replace the C5502.

    Hi Ming,

    Thank you for the introduction.
    OMAP is not available for long, so we cannot adopt it.
    Is it possible to implement the same level of low-pass and band-pass filters in MSP430 as in TMS320VC 5502?
    Also, is it possible to implement it in a software library such as MSPM0G?
