AM3730 BOOT PROBLEM!...

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FLASHTOOL, DM3730

Hi all,

I am using Mistral's Am/Dm37x OMAP3 EVM. Last day I load power management project which referenced from wiki ( http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Power_Management_CCS_project_for_OMAP35x_and_AM-DM37x ) and after see project working i try to flash X-Loader and U-Boot while flashtool sending u-boot i tried to connect EVM from JTAG and flashtool failed after that. After these, I tried to boot EVM from SD CARD nothing is done, than tried to flash again u-boot, EVM didnt send its ASIC ID and flashtool fails. Is it possible to damage the BOOT ROM code of DM3730? I used all of the booting ways and the EVM is not booting.

Need your help,

Ahmet

  • Hi santos,

While flashing prebuilt images using flashtool didnt get any error, only flashtool waiting asic id and the EVM doesnt sent any asic id from uart3. Than i test the UART connection with the scope and didnt see any signal on UART pins.

Today i found a bug but i'm not solve the problem exactly. When i turn on the EVM's power it isn't booting, but when i'm connect with the emulator and init the EVM with gel script and disconnect the emulator connection the EVM boot correctly from SD Card. I started to think, maybe power management project changed any corresponding register and BOOT ROM couldnt run correctly because that.

    Regards

    Ahmet
