Customer thermal team would like to learn the accuracy of the temperature sensor inside DRA821 like below.
Do we have similar information?

What's the definition for temperature grade 105 degree C? Does it mean all three temperature sensor can sustain over 105 degree C?

Or specific one temperature sensor is the standard we use for 105 degree?

Thanks, this is what I need.

This should be added onto DRA821 data sheet.

How do we define the junction temperature on DRA821? Is specific temperature sensor like TMPSENS1 which is A72 and DDR region?

Do we consider this area temperature value is junction temperature Tj?

Correct. The on die TMPSENSn allows software to have awareness of the junction temperature.

Customer would like to confirm which temperature sensor is the definition of our junction temperature?

Or all of them are so call "junction temperature"? Because in field site, customer can only measure surface temp and get estimate of junction temp.

They want to know which temperature sensor is the most close value with our definition for junction temperature so they can take it as reference in measurement.

Is TMPSENS1 the closest one?

Hi Rich,

The temp sensors are distributed across the die, and are meant to be able to detect hot spots that could be different based on the application loading. So the expectation is that all of them represent the junction temperature in that specific area.

Software should pay attention to all three, and treat the "highest" temp sensor at any moment in time as the most relevant one.

OK, that's to say all sensors represent junction temperature and it will guarantee the temperature grade on all sensor areas.
