Help to confirm if a previously known issue in EZSDK version 5.0.0.11 is fixed.

Hi ,

Could someone help to check if a known issue is fixed.

I find this known issue in release notes of "DM 816X SDK Version 05.00.00.11"

===

id: SDOCM00075551

headline: File system on SATA hard disk gets corrupted with multiple runs of VS/VC demos

===

I can't find it in the lastest release notes. Is it means this issue is fixed?

I've already tried to search related information in E2E forums, but i can't find discussions about this issue.

Thanks for help.

  • Hi,

    If I missed some important information or it is improper to post in this forum, please remind me.

    Our HW platform are using dm816x/389x EVM board.

    And we had met this issue in EzSDK Version 05.00.00.11 when runnning some personal program.

    For safty and begining of development, we changed our personal test program to workaround this issue.

    But since the latest version is released and can't find in release notes, we need help to confirm this issue, SDOCM00075551, in TI's internel tracker system is solved or not.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Huang,

    VC app no longer writes the bit stream to a Hard-disc. Instead, a loop back component called as VLPB running on A8 is used to loop back encoder data to a decoder.

    VS is the scenario in which app needs to write encoded stream into a file on hard-disc. VS is not supported in the EZSDK. Customers developing VS application are required to use the RDK.

    In the RDK, this issue is no longer seen.

    thanks and regards,

    Tarakesh.
