To replace and add some parts in EVM of TMS320DM8168

Respected Sir,

                  In, EVM of TMS320DM8168 HDMI transmitter (Sil9022ACNU) is used. I want to replace this part by Explore Microelectronics: EP952.

                  I want to add SATA Port Multiplier (Silicon Image: SiI3723) on 1 of the SATA Ports to get more SATA and E-SATA ports. 

                  Will the processor TMS320DM8168 will support above replacement and addition from both Hardware and Software point of view? Please confirm that whether it is possible or not. More, can we get drivers for above parts?

    Hi,

    If you are using ezsdk it will be difficult to modify the SIL9022a transmitter with EP952. But it should be possible with some changes. I looked at top level specs of EP952 and it seems to be proper fit for replacing SIL9022a. Can you please send me the detail specs of EP952 so that I confirm that its really possible to interface with transmitter instead of SIL9i022a. Any special feature/requirement to replace sii9022a with EP952.

    I am not well versed with SATA. I will forward query about sata to concerned team here.

    Is there any drop in replacement part for SiI9022A?

    Or can you suggest any other HDMI transmitter chip with the same pins?
