TMS320C6415T: Under clocking frequency use / SW Migration issues

Part Number: TMS320C6415T

Tool/software:

Good afternoon.

We want to replace a TMS32C6415EGLZA6E3 with TMS320C6415TGLZA8

Could we use TMS320C6415TGLZA8 at 600MHz core speed? I read on the migration application note (SPRA981B) that the CLKin would be the same 50MHz for 600MHz in this chip. It is not necessary to change CLKMODE or any register by software. Is this right? There is any impact on software we could take into account?

In SPRA981B capter 7, there is noticed that IO would change. But at 600MHz there is no difference. It is so?

Another software migration issue?

Best regards,

With the CLKMODE input pins configured the same (10b), then  a 50MHz will produce a CPU frequency of 600MHz

I/O timings, for 600MHz and below, will be the same for both devices.

Have you considered all the hardware updates needed?  Pay attention to CVdd requirements , change in I/O impedance, and others!
