Hi~

The promble is occur when I dubeg the SPI-FLASH-Writer. I load the file "spiflash-writer.out",CCS4 console prompt below :

How to writer FLASH?

Have you used a GEL file to initialize the DDR yet? If it is the EVM that should be all it takes. If it is a custom board you need to change the GEL settings to match your specific memory timings.

Hi~

Thank for you replay!

I can't find initialize the DDR tools, the CCS like below picture,

I according to the document with wiki.ti selete SPI1-PINMUX. Afterwards,I load the spi-write.out file.

the CCS prompt the error like below

Sometime the loading is ok, it can use normally.

But sometime the process is wrong.just like above.what's problem?

You need to have the GEL file loaded before you connect to the ARM. There should be a function in the GEL that is automatically run when connecting. Maybe sometimes you are connecting first and then loading the GEL, and so the DDR never gets initialized.

I googled and found this thread. A TI Wiki article Programming mDDR/DDR2 EMIF on OMAP-L1x/C674x provided an aiding spreadsheet, and mentioned a correponding chapter in L138 memory controller guide which gives step-by-step guide for the calculation and set up.

I would like to verify with you that does this "step-by-step guide" refer to §15.2.13 Auto-Initialization Sequence, particularly §15.2.13.1 Initializing Following
Device Power Up or Reset of SPRUH77A, OMAP-L138 DSP+ARM Processor Technical Reference Manual (Rev. A)?
