Tool/software:
Hi AM62P Champ !
We're having a difficult time with a project because many recent chipsets don't support the RGB24 LCD interface. Our client chose the TI AM62P because it supports DPI mode, but there is no porting guide, which is making things very difficult. We are posting this thread as a continuation of the parent thread in the hopes that you can provide us with a DPI interface guide.
Here is an update on one client's current porting status. Please provide guidance on what you can help us with.
-
PWM/LCD
-
Enable pin: To avoid confusion, the circuit is forced to enable and operate at 100% PWM.
-
Backlight: Always enabled.
-
R/G/B
-
PIN reconfirmation: No issues found.
-
VSYNC/HSYNC/PCLK/DE
-
Normal waveforms observed on the oscilloscope.
-
R0-R7, G0-G7, B0-B7
-
No data is being outputted on the oscilloscope.
-
Personal opinion: TI Application Note - AM62P DSS Overview Document
-
4 Software Configuration
-
4.4 DPI / HDMI: The HDMI guide is well-documented, but there is no guide for DPI.
-
A guide for this part is needed.
I've also attached the boot log and DTS values of their final state for your review.

Jack
