We are evaluating the TMDX654IDKEVM (AM65x/DRA80xM Industrial Development Kit, Rev. B) and need to clarify the power input connector.

The board supports power through a 4-pin DIN jack (J2). Since TI’s AC adapter is not included in Japan due to PSE marking requirements, our customer is selecting a third-party AC adapter.

However, there are multiple 4-pin DIN types in the market (for example, some use pins 1 & 2 as +V, others use pins 2 & 4 as +V). To ensure correct adapter selection, could you please confirm the exact pin assignment (voltage pin mapping) of the 4-pin DIN connector (J2) on the TMDX654IDKEVM?

Additionally, if there is a schematic excerpt or official documentation that describes this assignment, could you kindly point us to it?

I checked the schematics (attached screenshot below), and I see that connector J2 (4-pin DIN) is tied to MAIN and DGND.

However, our customer’s concern is very practical:
Which specific pins of the DIN connector correspond to +V (11–28V) and which pins correspond to GND?
There are several commercial AC adapters with different 4-pin DIN assignments (e.g., 1&2 = +V vs. 2&4 = +V). To help the customer safely select an adapter, we need the official confirmation of the pin mapping used by the TMDX654IDKEVM.

Could you please provide:

The exact pin assignment for J2 (pin numbers vs. +V / GND).
If available, a reference to official documentation that describes this.

This will help ensure the customer selects a compliant adapter (PSE-certified in Japan) with the correct polarity.

As per my observation the schematic and CUI power supply DIN Pin assignments are matching. Here Below is the pin assignment. Also attaching the power supply datasheet, There are power supplies which have different pin assignment other than CUI. So I think we should recommend CUI power supply for customer to be used
