Camera link to Video port with DM8168 EVM

Hi, My platform is DM8168 EVM, our plan to use cameralink camera, I want to know can we use camera link to video port without FPGA, I want to confirm it? Have some design support? Thanks! Puyol,

    Hi,

    Can you please give us details of your camera link. If your camera output is directly from sensor, than it would be easy to use it with DM814x, as DM814x has Image signal processor(ISP) for converting bayer pattern to YUV or something like that. ISP also has other image processing tools like Histogram, autofocus etc. You can contact your local FAE to get details of ISP.

    Hi, Hardik Shah My camera is a base cameralink interface camera, the interface is cameralink, so i think that if we want to connect to DM8168, we must design a extern board for interface convert. So, i want to confirm the DM8168 video port can connect to cameralink interface convertor without FPGA! Thanks! puyol.
