AM62A7: WDR can't lower the highlights

That depends on your sensor raw image and ISP settings.

If your sensor is in 20-bit WDR mode and sensor exposure is high, then it is possible that sensor raw image is overexposed.

Please share some sensor raw images and your xml files to confirm.

I have two issues:
1. Highlights are blown out
2. When there's a strong contrast between light and dark, the highlights are completely white or the shadows are completely black.

Even if I lower all the highlight areas to the same value, there are still some highlights that are overexposed.

From what I understand, adjusting this curve should lower highlights and brighten shadows.

However, it doesn't seem to be working.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

It seems you are working with a 10-bit LDR sensor (probably IMX219).

For LDR sensor, the dynamic range is limited by the sensor to 10 linear bits.

You won't be able to see both the bright and dark sides of the scene at the same time.

My sensor is ox03c10, it's a hdr sensor

I set bit deepth 12

My code is based on imx219, so the name is not changed to ox3c10

These raw images you shared looks like 10-bit linear images.
They are not HDR images in 12-bit companded format.

There is probably some issue in your sensor driver.
The sensor is not working in HDR output mode.
You need to check with the driver provider.
