AM62A7: The picture tone is a bit green

Part Number: AM62A7

Tool/software:

Hi ,Ti Experts

I've completed BLC, WDR, and AWB, and the current tint has a greenish cast, especially in the shadows.

I tried changing the BLC from -64 to -56, which improved it slightly, but the image became a bit pale.

Changing the BLC from -64 to -72 reduced the paleness, but the green was more pronounced.

How can I address this green cast while reducing the paleness?

By the way, can these parameters help solve this problem?

I tried modifying them, but it didn't work

Best Regards

Meng

  • Hi meng,

I've completed BLC, WDR, and AWB, and the current tint has a greenish cast, especially in the shadows.

You shall not change BL as it is a known and fixed value for most sensors.

Please share some sample raw/yuv images (along with comanding knee points) and your AWB calibration xml.

  • Hi Gang

Here are my pic and xml

  • Hi meng,

Your AWB calibration output does not look good.

Please follow "7.6.2 Tuning AWB" in the app note in the link below carefully.

  • Hi Gang

According to the manual, I performed the following AWB tuning:
1: Using the DCC tool, I captured photos of the color chart under D50, TL84, D65, and A lighting.
2: Loaded the photos in the Reference Files section, set the color temperature and black level, and used the Macbeth chart selector to click the four corners of the color chart clockwise.
3: Loaded the HDR Decompading Knee Points file.
    4: Run the plugin.
Are there any steps that need improvement?

    Best Regards

    Meng

  • Hi meng,

Please go through AWB plugin guide carefully especially "1.3 Input files".

I suspect that you might have not entered the black level correctly.

  • Hi Guang Hua

I've set the color temperature and black level for each image in the AWB process.
My AWB appears to be working (a red screen in front of the camera doesn't have a bluish tint on the white wall behind it).
I suspect the issue may be with the CFAI+WDR process (my workflow is BLC -> CFAI+WDR -> AWB -> ColorCorrection).

here is my cfai config params

I tried to change CFAI bandwidth green(High Low Mid), but seemed not work

Do I need to change CCM gain?

    Best Regards

This sounds good and AWB seems working.

What issue are you referring to?
