How can I run codec engine examples on CCSv5

Hi,

     Under the Run Instructions for Codec Engine Examples , I can run codec engine examples on the DM8168 EVM. But

can they be run on CCSv5 with simulator? Thanks a lot!

    Zhao,

    It depends on the simulator. If you have a simulator for only the DSP, then you can only run a local Codec Example. If you have a system simulator, where the entire device is simulated, and you have a Linux BSP which supports the simulator, then you could boot Linux on the host and run a remote Codec Example. Typically, this is hard to setup and the EVM is easier to use.
