DVSDK 4.03 release available for download

The DVSDK 4.03.00.06 release is now available for download at:

This release supports OMAP-L138, and TMS320DM3730, EVMs.

The following enhancements have been made versus previous DVSDK releases:

For TMS320DM3730 specifically:

    * Support for kernel version 2.6.37
    * OOB demos for Wireless LAN

For OMAP-L138 specifically:

    * Support for kernel version 2.6.37
    * OOB demos for Wireless LAN

Hello Velan ,

I'm developing on Dm3730 Flashboard ,use kernel 2.6.37 ,sgx 1.7 .Now I try to update my dvsdk to the version 4.03.00.06 .But when I compile dvsdk ,

it hangs at ".========================= Press Space to Continue ============================== "

I press Space ,it response nothing however .

I will give what I do following :

1、copy DVSDK 4.03.00.06 to externel/ti-dsp ,and modify mdfsum.list .( I confirm that I have downloaded the dvsdk completely ).

2、cd to rowboat dir ,and make TARGET_PRODUCT=omap3evm OMAPES=5.x -j8 ,

At last ,It just hangs at ".========================= Press Space to Continue ============================== " .

I want to know whether I need to update the file in the path "externel/ti-dsp" ,what should I do if I update to Dvsdk 4.03.00.06 .Thanks .

Hi,

I can not understand your problem. Do you face problem while installing DVSDK 4.03.00.06, or couple of new steps.

"Press Space to Continue" would come when you install DVSDK, but when exactly you do "TARGET_PRODUCT=omap3evm OMAPES=5.x -j8 ,"

Please share the steps to understand/reproduce.

No, beagle-xm conversion script is not available for this release. Appreciate someones contribution here.

Not sure I follow the status here,

Will a file be made available? or is TI not supporting the Beagle board(s) with this release?

That is correct, we do not officially support Beagle Board (s). It woudl be great if someone from the community would be able to add the support

Hi Velan,

I just put the installer dvsdk_dm3730-evm_04_03_00_06_setuplinux in external/ti-dsp ,and it will auto install while I compile the project .

Steps are as follow :

root@ubuntu:/home/bakerhuang/MyWorkspace/myrowboat/external/ti-dsp# ls
Makefile
dvsdk                                    md5sum.list
dvsdk_dm3730-evm_04_03_00_06_setuplinux patches
get_tidsp.sh                             test.txt
install_dvsdk4.exp

root@ubuntu:/home/bakerhuang/MyWorkspace/myrowboat# make TARGET_PRODUCT=omap3evm OMAPES=5.x -j4 //compile the project

and then it will hangs at "Press Space to Continue" when the dvsdk was installing .

I manually run install_dvsdk4.exp ,it has the same result .

root@ubuntu:/home/bakerhuang/MyWorkspace/myrowboat/external/ti-dsp# ./install_dvsdk4.exp dvsdk_dm3730-evm_04_03_00_06

Hi Baker Huang,

It is very simple to install the DVSDK, just invoke the executable from commdna line as below, or double click from x-windows, Please refer Software Developers guide

#./dvsdk_dm3730-evm_04_03_00_06_setuplinux

I do not know from where you get the steps that you are following, could be please point me there.

Also could you please create new post for your problems.

Hi Velan,

Thank you for your response .I download the external-ti-dsp from https://gitorious.org/rowboat/external-ti-dsp/trees/rowboat-gingerbread-dsp ,and replace the folder external/ti-dsp .It can install now ,but patch failed .
