Hello TI,
we are considering the DRA821 for a new product development (mobile gateway, router, firewall).
The DRA821 would be interesting because of it's 4 SerDes lanes as we require the following interfaces:
- 1x USB3 (fixed, no swapping needed)
- 1x PCI Express, 1 Lane
- 1..2x SGMII to connect to external Ethernet Switch
We are confused about the footnote (B) in Block Diagram (Datasheet SPRSP57E, Figure 3-1) and Table 12-3873 in the User Manuel (SPRUIU1D – JULY 2020 – REVISED DECEMBER 2024)
- Footnote B: Only 2 of SGMII, USB3 and PCIe can be used simultaneously
- Table 12-3873 and SysConfig Tool: I.e. the following SerDes High Speed Interfaces is possible
- PCIe1 = SerDes Lane 0 -> ok
- USB0 = SerDes Lane 1 -> ok
- SGMII1 = SerDes Lane 2 -> ok
- SGMII2 = SerDes Lane 3 -> ok
Can you please comment on this.
- Can 1x PCIe (1 lane), 1x USB 3 (fixed config, no connector swapping needed), 1x SGMII be realized on SerDes?
