That is correct.

I suppose you would be using MCU+SDK to generate the M4 image, in that case we have signing scripts in MCU+SDK: https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM62X/11_01_00_16/exports/docs/api_guide_am62x/TOOLS_BOOT.html#TOOLS_BOOT_SIGNING

You can also build the example using DEVICE_TYPE=HS to generate an image for HS-SE device:

make DEVICE_TYPE=HS

You just have to put this signed image in: /lib/firmware/
