C2000 Real Time feedback

Hi Team,

I have a customer who is curious about having real time data feedback from an F28035.  What kind of options, other than DSS, are available for this?  I don't believe that RTDX with XDS560 was an option with C2000.  Even then, I believe that RTDX is no longer supported, at least according to the wiki.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

  • Would you give us some requirements or suggestions? Some questions to get started:

    1. Does the solution need to be based on emulator technology?

    2. (variation of above) If not emulator based, which peripheral(s) should be used: UART, SPI, I2C

    3. What bandwidth/throughput do you expect?

    4. Is this full duplex or just read from the device?

    5. How intrusive can the solution be in terms of: code size (FLASH), data size (RAM), CPU cycles

    6. Is this for development only or will it be left in place in deployed products for (possible) use in the field?

    Thanks,

    Mark
