TMDXEVM3358 ( EVM ) and CAN

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDXEVM3358, AM3517

Hello,

I have two questions about TMDXEVM3358;

(1) What sort of driver and application do you provide for the CAN I/F on TMDXEVM3358? We are going to use Linux with a TMDXEVM3358.

(2) Can you provide CPLD (U43D) source code? Because I have to verify how does the CAN works on this board for writing software.

Regards,

Tetsuyuki

  • Tetsuyuki,

    I can help to answer question 1 for you.  In our Linux kernel released with AMSDK 05.03.02.00 (available at http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/sdk/AM3517/latest/index_FDS.html) there is DCAN driver support present as well as the dcan applications available in the sample target file system.  You can find information on this driver and utilities in the DCAN User's Guide available at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_DCAN_Driver_Guide.

    Sincerely,

    Chase Maupin
