AM3358: Linux and SGX versioning

Hi,

I have a general question when it comes to linux versioning.

From this website I can see that currently the latest SDK version is 09.03.05.02 from Dec 13, 2024: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X

Inside the SDK there are:

ti-linux-kernel-6.1.119+gitAUTOINC+c490f4c0fe-ti
ti-u-boot-2023.04+gitAUTOINC+2a13324ec6

Then there are also snapshots which are way more up to date: https://software-dl.ti.com/cicd-report/linux/index.html?section=platform&platform=am335x

Now the questions:

For general development the SDK is recommended. What do I do if a critical bug is found inside the kernel and I use the SDK version? Can I get notified or how can I find out there is something to update/patch?
I need the SGX driver (UM/KM). How do I know which version of it to use? From within the SDK I didnt find any reference.

If you encounter additional bugs, please report through our E2E forums.

Hi,

thanks or the info.

1. What about critical security issues? If such an issue is reported how long would it take until it is fixed and provided? And where would I find the fixed version? Do I get notified?

2. Lets take the ti-sgx-ddk-km and ti-sgx-ddk-um as an example. I find them in the manifest:

The link on the right side is dead. I see that KM is 1.17.4948957-r22x.69 and UM is 1.17.4948957-r22x.69. Lets try KM first. I go to

and how do I find 1.17.4948957-r22x.69 there?

What I need is the correct hash to download the correct version like this:

TI_SGX_UM_CV_SITE = https://git.ti.com/git/graphics/omap5-sgx-ddk-um-linux.git

Or can i reference it differently?

>> Yes, The last release on ti.com (Including the manifest published) was indeed December 2024. But, The good news is we have a refresh release targeted to go under https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X in Nov 2025

>> Along with the Refresh, manifest will be updated , Kernel version is upgraded to v6.12.y , U-boot version is upgraded to v2025.01 and Yocto version will be upgraded to Scarthgap (5.0)

>> The snapshots pointed here https://software-dl.ti.com/cicd-report/linux/index.html?section=platform&platform=am335x is our CICD to give drop to customers who want to start using the baseline with limited functionality testing.
