SDRAM interface with OMAP 3530

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530

hi

i am working on Devkit8000, OMAP 3530DZCBB package, we have selected SDRAM for interfacing (POP) (i have attached the data sheet), OMAP 3530 top 168 balls are exactly matching with SDRAM except 2 balls,

in OMAP 3530, ball numbers AC5 and P1 are connected to vdds_mem

but in SDRAM,  AC5 and P1 are defined as NC. the rest of the balls, data, address, chip select, bank select, all are matching.

if i connect , will it create problem ?

please suggest me

It is unlikely to cause a problem, but in reality you are directing this question to the wrong vendor.  You need to ask Micron if this is going to be a problem for the selected DRAM.  Since the DRAM pins are NC (no connects) and are indicated in the Micron datasheet as "No connect: May be left unconnected", this will not be an issue for the OMAP3530.

But you need to check with Micron if having a voltage supply rail connected to these 2 NC pins on their DRAM will be an issue.
