Hi all,

I was working on TMS320VC5416 controllers. Certain functions like 'fir' etc require the filter coefficients to be aligned in memory. While some other functions donot require alignment.

My question is why is memory alignment required? It definatetly has to do with hardware implementation of the 'tms' controllers, does anybody know a 'TI' document whic clearly shows why is this nesecary?
