Hi,
1. The Link to above PDF is a DEAD-END.
2. The current datasheet says:
HD Video Processing Subsystem (HDVPSS)
– Two 165 MHz HD Video Capture Channels
• One 16-Bit or 24-Bit and One
• Each Channel Splittable Into Dual 8-Bit
– Two 165 MHz HD Video Display Channels
• One 16-Bit, 24-Bit, 30-Bit Channel and Controller and One 16-bit Channel
3. Can I suggest that TI simply release all available documentation and sources, via an Open Source release. The DM81xx are complicated beasts and nobody will ever be able to replicate/copy the complexity and features offered, so TI has no risk of a silcon competitor using the information, but TI would make lots of Customers happy
