Recommended LogicPD DM3730 Torpedo ARM+DSP development setup?

Apologize in advance for the updated post (I reread my earlier post and realized it wasn't very clear, so deleted it and am reposting...)

Does anyone know if the TI DVSDK works with the LogicPD DM3730 Torpedo SOM? I am aware that the TI DM3730 EVM is supported (obviously!), but it's not clear to me if the DVSDK will support the LogicPD SOM as well.

Would be hosting system control and similar functions on the ARM side, interacting with algorithms running in parallel on the DSP side. DSP/Link would need to be supported on both sides (ARM, DSP), with linux on the ARM and SYS/BIOS on the DSP. Am concerned that any differences between the TI EVM and the LogicPD device would require some reconfiguration/customization of the TI DVSDK to support the LogicPD SOM. That may not be a show stopper, but I'd like to know if that's the case ;)

Have contacted LogicPD to discuss. Very helpful, but thought it would be useful to ping the e2e community to see if folk have used this device as indicated above and have any suggestions.

    I am curious to know what advice LogicPD had for you regarding DSP/Link support?  I myself have been moving forward very quickly with application development on the DM3730's ARM using Timesys tools, but development on the DSP side of things appears a little less clear (SYS/BIOS & DSPLink support).

    Nice folks there but to get the kind of assistance it sounded like I would need to engage their tech support folks more directly. They suggested two options. First, was to ping the e2e community here for insight. The second was to engage their support folks who could assist. The second approach likely involves some level of funding which isn't really an option for evaluation purposes. Been wrapped up in semi-related stuff and haven't had a chance to delve into this further since my last posting. In the mean time, we've gone ahead and obtained two TI eval kits; one that uses the DM3730 and one that has the DM816x/CMA816x. The assumption is that since these are the actual TI boards, it's less likely we'll run into BSP issues related to third party compatibility during eval. Been through those kinds of issues and it's one headache I'd like to avoid. This means that we're using the official TI tool chains where needed (CCv5, sys/bios/dsp link, etc) along with the linux environment provided with the TI boards. Note that these tools want internet access to d/l a few packages during installation. That can be an issue for some. Sounds like you're further ahead than we are at the moment wrt this hardware. I may be asking you for suggestions instead!

    So long story short, working this is on my calendar, but I don't seem to control that at the moment ;)

    I am in the same dilemma just like you. I am also trying to evaluating the performance of the DM3730 & DM8168 using the TI DVSDK It seems that the DM3730 Torpedo SOM has a nice form factor and a wireless with GPS to adapt into the product. The DM3730 Torpedo kit seems to have some built-in features that reports system performance that may be useful, but I want to spent my limited time and budget for evaluation and I sure don't to loose these time to debugging specific drivers and hardware issues that may not be in the final product.
