I'm encountering an issue while trying to build and flash the Wi-SUN ns_br example to my CC1312R7 board.

Initially, I attempted this on my MacBook M3 running macOS Sonoma 14.1. However, the project fails to run and displays the message:
"Autorun: Target not run as symbol 'main' is not defined."

Since I was stuck and couldn't resolve the issue, I switched to a headless Linux machine and successfully built and flashed the firmware using the command line. Everything worked smoothly there.

Now, I want to modify the PHY settings using the SysConfig tool. As you've mentioned in earlier support threads, it's not possible to change PHY settings without SysConfig. Unfortunately, SysConfig doesn't run on headless Linux systems.

So I'm back on my MacBook, but the same issue persists.

In another support thread, it was suggested to downgrade to version 3.2.2 of the tiarmclang compiler. Interestingly, I didn't use that version on the Linux machine, and it still worked fine.

Nevertheless, I tried downgrading to version 3.2.2 on my MacBook as recommended, but the problem remains.

So the question is:

How to fix this:

1) By somewhow use sysconfigtool on headless Linux (my prefered solution)

2) Or by solving the error message.

Can you give me any advise?

Hi Elfred,

Can you please show us the General Window of your Project Properties? Currently, TI Clang v3.2.2.LTS is not showing as a "Discovered compiler" and may not be the compiler selected in your project. Different compiler shown but the same concept:

Hello,

Here's my general window of the projectproperties.

As you can see, v4.0.3 is selected. But there is no option to select 3.2.2. Reading the manual did not give me a clue how to fix that.

For the headless situation: I do have sysconfig_cli.sh. I can generate application files from it. But, to switch form 915MHz to 868MHz, I will need to change the .syscfg. Is there some documentation on the properties of syscfg? What else is the purpose of the commandline sysconfig possibility if you cannot change any setting on commandline?

Appreciate the answer in advance.

After installing the TI Clang compiler in question, go to File -> Preferences -> Code Composer Studio Settings and make sure that General -> Compilers -> Compiler discovery path includes your installation location. You will need to refresh the Discovered compilers and press "OK" afterwards to finalize.

I expect there would be additional documentation in the CCS User's Guide I linked to previously.

Thanks, I now have a working border-router on 868. The issue was that there's no version v3.2.2 of the TI-Clang compiler for MacOS. I had the wrong one on my system. Using the v3.2.1 and installing that one made CCS discover the compiler. SO no it works fine.
