AM620-Q1: UART interface required for OTP key writer session

Dear champs,

there are some question with regards to UART assignments, could you please help clarifying:

M4 UART:

 

  • TIFS uses MAIN_UART1 for trace message for AM62x family.

 

R5 UART:

 

  • Based on above diagram, OTP APP initializes UART driver. But I couldn’t find a document states which UART resources it uses for R5 core.
  • Downloaded OTP SDK and try to understand the configuration from syscfg à <install dir>\otp_keywriter_am62x_v11.01.07_am62x_keywriter\sbl_keywriter\am62x-sk\r5fss0-0_nortos\example.syscfg
  • I see 2 UART configurations,

 

  • For debug log, does R5 uses MAIN_UART0 ( as useWakeupDomainPeripherals parameter set to “FALSE”)?
  • What is the purpose of UART1? Whether this configuration is done for TIFS core?
